The Ark Project

The Project

Nestled in the hills of western Maryland along a busy Interstate 68, a modern-day Noah’s Ark is being built as a sign to the world of God’s love and the soon return of Jesus. This undertaking is drawing the attention of people from all corners of the world.

The Construction

The Ark itself is being constructed to the dimensions of Noah’s original Ark. It will be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. That’s over a football field and a half long and three stories high! The Ark will be built in three phases. Each phase involves erecting and enclosing one third of the Ark. The steel superstructure for Phase I is in place. The next step is to completely enclose and finish Phase I.

The Vision

Founding Pastor Richard Greene had a repeated dream from God in which he saw a large ark located on a hillside with people coming from all over the world to see it. In these repeated dreams, Pastor Greene saw the destruction and corruption that was taking place throughout the world, just like it was in the biblical days of Noah.

The Purpose and message

This Ark is being used as a tool to get the attention of people who need to be reminded that God loves them and cares about their spiritual state. It is also being built as a warning of the second coming of Jesus Christ. When completed, this modern-day Noah’s Ark will be as a church and Christian conference center that will be used to meet people’s spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. Even in its incomplete state, the Ark has drawn people from around the world to the site. Foreign film crews and national publications have covered the story. Pastor Greene has taken the Vision of the Ark to 32 different countries and has criss-crossed the United States and Canada sharing this end-time message. The story of the Ark has appeared in widely read newspapers and magazines and other media. Our printed literature, dvd’s, and radio spots are all being used to bring people into the Kingdom of God. Visitors from around the globe stop by to see this inspirational undertaking.

For the coming of the Son of man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the Ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of man be
